Access For Non-English Speakers

Access For Non-English Speakers

We as a PCN are dedicated addressing health equalities and promoting inclusion, ensuring that all patients have full access to healthcare regardless of whether English is their first language.

We are aware that language barriers can be an impediment to receiving proper healthcare, with non-English speaking patients struggling to access services and information.

You can find a series of resources on the links below that provide translated instructions that address common questions including how to register with a GP, COVID 19 and the vaccine as well as keeping young people healthy along with guidance for people moving to the UK.

Booking a Translator/Interpreter

If you are a patient who does not speak English and requires an interpreter either face-to-face or via telephone, please inform the staff at your surgery. This will allow them to arrange for an interpreter to be present during your consultation or any other meeting. We have access to services that ensure we can fully understand your needs and concerns.

PLEASE NOTE: To arrange this service in time for your appointment, please inform the reception staff that you need an interpreter when you book your appointment.
